Paul Canning, HIG's MD Praises AIRCOM Acquisition
Paul Canning, HIG's Managing Director has recently praised the company's acquisition of AIRCOM. HIG announced on February 13th that it had obtained AIRCOM, the world’s largest independent provider of network planning and optimisation services to the telecom industry. AIRCOM was founded in 1995 and currently employs 900 professionals in 14 offices across the globe. The company helps both network provides such as 02 and Vodaphone and mobile handset producers such as HP and Nokia. The companies have needed the support of AIRCOM even more greatly recently with the dramatic growth in data transfer through the mobile networks and the additions of internet devices such as iPhone’s and iPad’s.HIG Europe is the European affiliate of private equity firm HIG Capital. Paul Canning the MD of HIG Europe stated the acquisition will allow the company to move forward. He has announced that AIRCOM are already a leader in their field and with HIG’s financial backing, the company will be able to stay at the cutting edge of the industry. Canning has also told the press that AIRCOM has ambitious growth plan and with HIG’s added firepower and support the company will be able to grow.
HIG have also acquired the UK’s largest manufacturer of beds “Silent Night” taking the company out of administration and safe guarding 1250 employees around the UK. We can only wonder what investment is next forPaul Canning and the HIG Europe Team.
